Gulsby Quarter Horses is located on County Road 37 in Fitzpatrick, Alabama just east of Montgomery and 15 miles from I85. The farm originated in 1997 with 160 rolling acres. Soon after the purchase of the farm, the Gulsbys began implementing plans for this unique facility all under one roof. The construction of a 22 stall Show and Mare barn, Vet room, Covered round pen, apartment and offices has become
home
to the Gulsbys. The breeding, training, and sales operation on the farm is operated on a daily basis by the Gulsbys.
The breeding program, assisted by Dr. Mark Moore, DVM, and Home to Two-Time Congress Champion "Sparklin Cool" is fast becoming a very successful breeding operation. Mare and foal care is a top priority when breeding at Gulsby Quarter Horses.
The horses enjoy high protein coastal grass year round. Mr. Gulsby, Sr. manages and operates the coastal hay, with assistance of Auburn University, to assure the highest quality is provided for the horses. In addition to hay feeders filled with top grade alfalfa hay, the horses are provided top of the line Purina grain. The lush 160 pastures are all fenced and cross-fenced with ElectroBraid
It is very important
to keep all horses safe at Gulsby Quarter Horses, and fencing with ElectroBraid is the safest fence around.
Bill and Victoria Gulsby have established a successful breeding, showing, and training facility, and would like to extend a warm welcome for you to come by and visit the Home of "Sparklin Cool".
